Quick help
MyWornSkin FAQ
Two readings. One for buying a worn piece. One for selling one.
What is MyWornSkin?
The right place to sell or find a piece that was actually worn. Every creator is checked before they appear. Every piece is read before it reaches the shop. Nothing goes live by accident.
Who can join?
Adults, 18 and over. Age is confirmed on arrival. A public creator profile exists only after verification. Until then, nothing is shown.
For buyers
how does it work?
Pick the piece, put it in your basket, pay. For now you can pay with Stripe or PayPal. More ways to pay are coming soon.
can two people buy the same piece?
No. One piece, one buyer. Once it is sold, it cannot be bought again. It may stay visible so the shop does not look empty, but without a buy button.
who pays postage?
You do, at checkout. The creator pays postage up front, ships, then gets that cost back.
what about outside the EU?
This only applies to some deliveries, when the parcel leaves the European Union. On arrival, customs may ask for fees: VAT, duty, import taxes. You pay them, not the creator and not MyWornSkin. Tracking is required. On CN22 or CN23, the value written is the order value. It is not lowered to help the parcel through.
is the parcel discreet?
Yes. A sealed bag, then a plain outer wrap. Nothing on the parcel says what is inside.
can I message the creator?
Yes, from her profile, once you are signed in. The conversation stays on the site.
can reviews be given freely?
Yes, if you bought the piece. After the team reads it, it can go on the page. The creator can reply in public. A review with no order, or a nasty one, stays off.
where do I report a problem?
From the profile, or through support. The team reads reports by hand. Payment, delivery, content: it is handled, not ignored.
what about refunds?
Each case is looked at on its own: order status, tracking, proof. Nothing is automatic. An abusive request can be refused. A worn piece that has been shipped and received cannot be sent back. That is a hygiene rule.
For creators
how do I open my profile?
Create an account, then send your documents. The MyWornSkin team checks that they are in order. If they are, your profile opens. That check is what lets buyers trust you.
what photos are allowed?
Sharp, sensual photos. Never pornographic. Not allowed: visible genitals, minors or a minor appearance, violence, personal data, stolen photos. The face may stay hidden. You need at least three photos buyers can see. Without those photos, the piece cannot be sent.
what is Worn By Me?
A private proof that you wore the piece. Face shown or not, it stays between you and the MyWornSkin team. It never goes on the shop, and never into messages. It is there so buyers and creators can trust what they see.
who sets the price?
You do. You choose the amount. MyWornSkin does not haggle for you. The buyer pays the price shown, in the currency they picked, plus postage.
where does the money go?
The fee is 15%. You keep 85% of the piece price, postage excluded. It lands in your wallet on the site. Once it reaches the minimum shown there, you can send it to your bank. The first payout has to be approved by an admin. After that, card payouts can go out on their own, weekly or monthly.
who pays postage?
The buyer, at checkout. You pay postage up front, ship, then get that cost back. No more, no less.
how do I ship discreetly?
A sealed bag, then a plain outer wrap. Nothing on the parcel says what is inside. An old box or a bag you already have is fine. You do not have to buy a new one. It is kinder on the planet, and it fits the new EU packaging rules. If you do buy one, keep the receipt and use a supplier in France or the EU.
what are frames and badges for?
A frame dresses the photo. It does not buy a better spot in the shop, but it does catch the eye. A sales badge unlocks with completed orders, then you equip it with a click. Verified sales are shown separately.
