What the seal is for
On MyWornSkin, a *Worn By Me* piece is one-of-a-kind, shot for the listing, and offered as worn by the creator. The seal does not replace your own judgment. It tells you that, behind the public photos, a wear proof was filed in a private space and read by moderation before the piece became visible. It is an internal check, explained here so you know what you are buying — not a marketing stamp.
What you see — and what you will never see
As a buyer you only see the seal next to the title. You do not see the proof. No ID photo, no document, no review video on the product page. The creator sends those files to MyWornSkin only. If they are accepted, the seal goes up. If they are refused, the piece stays off the shop or without a seal. That is why the buyer guide mentions the badge: when it is there, a person has looked at a private file, not just the public picture.
How a creator proves the wear
A creator may send proof with her face, or without it, along the path the site allows. In both cases we look for the same thing: a credible link between the person, the garment, and the moment it was worn. A public face is never required. She can stay unseen in the shop and still have a piece certified. The proof stays in the moderation file. It is never turned into a “validated” picture on the profile.
Who can open those files
Proofs, control documents and internal notes stay private. Only authorised people at MyWornSkin can open them — to moderate, handle a dispute, or meet a legal duty. They are not sold, not shown, not sent to the buyer. If you are a creator, do not post your proof in a public message or on social media: it loses its value and can expose your private life.
What the seal does not promise
The seal does not publish a legal name. It does not promise the piece will still be there tomorrow. It does not swear there will never be a dispute. MyWornSkin is not a lab of absolute authenticity: we work with what was sent, at the time of review. If new information appears later, the listing can be reviewed, taken down, or the seal removed. It is a seriousness signal. It is not an all-risks policy.
If something feels off
Before you buy, read the listing, the public photos, and the buyer guide (wear time, shipping, customs, refunds). If the pictures do not match, the copy is vague, or the ad hints at a seal that is not there — message the creator from her profile, or write to MyWornSkin support. Never send a password, and never send ID papers that nobody asked for.
